RJ Series

Marathon manufactures its stationary compactors in a variety of sizes available with numerous standard and optional features. The most popular stationary compactor is the RJ-225. It is your best compactor value. Built for reliable performance in commercial and medium industrial situations, it effectively reduces solid waste materials to a fraction of its original size. It is attractively priced and features a 56 second cycle time and powerful 55,100 lbs. maximum compaction force! Marathon manufactures stationary compactors ranging in size from 1.3 cubic yard capacity to the heavy-duty 5.5 cubic yard capacity. Marathon boasts the industry's first side-mount power unit, standard on all stationary compactors 2-5 cubic yards. All stationary compactors 2 - 5.5 cubic yards boast the exclusive ram guide system. The packing ram is supported and guided by specially formulated cast iron, graphite impregnated guide shoes, which ride in formed steel tracks on replaceable hardened wear strips. This protects the charge box floor from the full force of the packing ram, extending its life and dramatically reducing compaction-robbing friction. You can also rely on the fact that all stationary compactors are stress engineered for assured durability.

TC Series

With models ranging in size from 2, 2.5, & 3 cubic yard capacities, the TC Series' heavy duty construction, CYCON Life-Xtender and compact size make is second to none in performance and durability. The CYCON Life-Xtender system offers many features. The automatic "container full assurance system allows the ram to dwell against the load at full pressure resulting in superior compaction. Reliable, solid state circuitry eliminates all pressure and limit switches for ram cycle control. The extended wear life of cylinder and hoses is guaranteed by CYCON's no-shock cycle control. The advanced hydraulic design allows the system to operate at minimum pressure levels except when actually packing solid waste or recyclable materials. And finally, an important feature for the Northwest, CYCON dramatically improves cold weather performance. The compact size of the Trash Commander makes it ideal for dock applications. They take up as much as 15% less space than other compactors of similar capacity. And the two cross-cylinders produce powerful compaction equal to larger body compactors.

Self-Contained Roll-Off Compactors

Marathon's self-contained compactors combine the ability to safely store high-liquid content wastes in a controlled environment with the conveniences and economics of compaction! With charge box capacities ranging from 1 - 1.9 cubic yards and container capacities ranging from 15 - 39 cubic yards, Marathon manufactures a self-contained compactor perfect for malls, supermarkets, restaurants, hotels, hospitals and institutions, resorts and food processors, shopping centers, in-flight kitchens, and school systems. Liquid retention is guaranteed with Marathon's self-contained compactors. Marathon's exclusive "P" shaped door seal is specially designed for portable compaction/containers to provide a superior watertight closure. The mounting is engineered for quick and easy seal installation when replacement is necessary, requiring no field fitting, cutting or welding. The patented double-hinge dump door assures liquid retention by actuating uniform seal compression without seal "scrubbing" and damage. Marathon's "Bubble Gate" curved door design adds a full cubic yard to container capacity and provides superior compaction ratios, which reduces disposal costs.

Streamline Self-Contained Compactor/Container

Marathon's specialized self-contained "streamlines" your waste by draining excess liquid from your container, reducing net payload weight and significantly reducing hauling costs. A grocery store that pays $50 per ton disposal fees and removes 700 gallons of liquid from its container will save $140 per load! Charge box capacities range from 1, 1.5, 1.9, to 2 cubic yards. Container capacities range from 15 to 34 cubic yards. The Streamline has a unique way of removing liquid. As the ram pushes high liquid content waste into the container, it squeezes out liquid through normal compaction. Specially designed "passages" on the container floor direct liquids into an internal plumbing system. Liquid is then routed to four interconnected drains at each corner of the unit to assure free drainage through its large four-inch couplings regardless of the pitch of the pad on which the unit is installed. One ball valve comes standard on the unit.

PreCrusher
Virtually Doubles the Compaction Power of a Standard Compactor

Marathon's PreCrushers are ideal for hard-to-destroy materials. They quickly reduce 55 gallon drums to a fraction of their original drum length. No lifting or handling of the drums is required since the ram pushes the crushed drums into the container. Marathon's PreCrushers eliminate "light loads" of pallets, crates, large boxes and drums that fill your container with air. The packing ram moves through the charge box with a high level of force that effectively crushes everything against the PreCrusher's vertical steel wall. The wall is then raised and the ram fully extends compacting the refuse into the attached container. Uniform compaction is achieved throughout the receiver container. Every stroke is a crushing compaction stroke. The result: fewer trips to the landfill!

RX Shredder

The RX Shredder handles a variety of material including pill bottles and pressure sensitive labels. The unit was specifically designed to fit in the same area or space that the existing counter takes up where the garbage cans are currently placed. The RX Shredder is designed for use in the Pharmacy to eliminate excessive handling, all safety noise, physical size and dust issues were addressed to make this a reality. Shredded material is discharged into a self-sealing 12 gallon bag. The bag is easily changed by the employee in a minute or less without any spillage or mess. The bag is then disposed of in any outside trash receptacle.
